The stage is set, the crowd is large waiting in anticipation to see the man who has appeared on the horizon of Kennis music, teasing and flossing like a butterfly, a new act that has exploded onto the scene with his hard-hitting lyrics to calve a niche for himself in an industry where only the strong survive. The crowd goes wild, as he steps on the stage, grabs the mic and readily makes it his own, with his unique voice that has become a trademark to his adoring.
Oluwajuwonlo James Abayomi Iledare, a name worth repeating over an over again hails from the Yoruba speaking part of Kogi state, Okun in Yagba West Local Government. His primary and secondary school education was in Kogi State, after which he proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Bida in Niger state, where he got a National Diploma in Accounting.
HIS MUSIC
Jaywon started identifying with his talent from his early age by singing and writing songs. He was set rightly on a walk to achieve the greatness, he aspired to own.
In the beginning his mother who single handedly took care of the family after his father’s demise never supported his choice to go into music but deep down within, he knew he was going to be on the entertainment scene.
Inspired by his dream to become the biggest and most celebrated Afro-pop musician to have surfaced from Nigeria, He drove himself harder and continuously, even in the midst of horrible odds, he bled harder until his stickness to his passion eventually got him a recording deal with the nation’s foremost entertainment record label: Kennis Music.
Though his meeting with Kennis music appears to be more or less unexpected though deserved. It all happened during the performance of the song “Lanko Remix” a song in which Slizzy E featured him alongside Konga and after the performance the Label called him and agreed to sign him.
HIS FAME
Kennis Music, who has been at the forefront of music revolution in Nigeria released his debut single ‘’Filebe’’ the song he never knew would be a hit, blew the covers of the crowd with its uniqueness of a personal introduction of consciousness lyrics, it was a club banger. Strike when the iron is hot! The label took him to shows and the media, this consequentially elevated his popularity to a dizzying height. The video ‘’Filebe’’ arguably the first of its kind video under the Kennis platform is said to have coasted over a million naira and was shot by Clarence Peters.
His first album ‘’Meet Jaywon’’ produced by Kennis Music had a list of sixteen interesting tracks, with feature artiste such as African China, Timaya, Slizzy E, Sheyman, Ay.com, Kenny Saint Brown, Terry G, and the track ‘’Filebe’’ that blew the airwaves with the force of its coined word.
At first people compared him to 9ice but it was not long before they realized that his passion, uniqueness and originality is too distinct to be worthy of any compares.
Jaywon is a man who strives for excellence, his creativity is in-born and has the ability to create an entire album with all the songs being a hit. He has done collaboration with artistes like Essence, Goldie,kc presh,Eddris abdulkareem, Terry g,African china,Rocksteady,sound sultan, Jibola and JJC from London. He’s got other things up his sleeve ‘’Gheto Dreamz’’, the Dagrin’s home video had the luxury of Jaywon’s acting skill where he played as Dagrin’s friend.

Jaywon has a wide range of influence with a particular reference to Sunny Ade, Akon and Wyclef Jean from whom he draws from to enrich his music which has endeared him and triggered off a steadily fan base.
